Someone has been keeping their distance from you.

But they haven’t disconnected from you.

They knew their behaviour had affected you.

And despite what you may have thought…

they noticed far more than they ever let you see.

But there’s something else.

There was another reason behind their behaviour.

Something you weren’t told.

And when that comes out…

you’re going to look back at the situation completely differently.

Not because everything suddenly becomes acceptable.

It doesn’t.

But because one missing piece finally drops into place.

And I can see you asking the question you’ve wanted to ask.

Directly.

No dancing around it.

No protecting their feelings.

You ask.

And there’s a pause before they answer.

That pause tells you almost as much as the answer itself.

Because this time…

they know they can’t give you half of the truth.

You’ve already lived with half of it.

And you’re not doing that again.

That’s when the conversation changes.

Because you finally hear something from them that you should have heard a long time ago.

Just because somebody comes back with an explanation…

doesn’t automatically give them their old place back.

That decision belongs to you.

They will find a way back into contact.

The real question is what they want once they get there.

And I don’t believe their first message is going to tell you that.
